As the end of the year approaches, I find myself in the final months in both my calendar planner and my gratitude journal.
This past year I invested in a beautiful journal for myself—one that I committed to writing in every single day. It’s a gratitude journal I found in a crystal shop in Kelowna, and something about it immediately called to me. This journal is not just a place to jot down daily gratitude; it's a work of art.
Its pages are filled with stunning illustrations and space for a daily gratitude practice aligned with the moon cycles. Throughout the journal, there are stories and insights that have elevated my experience, as well as prompts to set intentions and reflect on their fruition during each full and new moon.
Each month guides you to reflect on the mind, body, spirit, and soul—creating a holistic practice I treasure. I’ve really enjoyed making gratitude a daily ritual. It’s become something I look forward to each morning—settling into my favorite chair, in my pajamas, wrapped in a cozy blanket with my tea. It’s a gift I give myself and my mindset each day.
Of course, there have been moments when I miss a day or two and find myself catching up, but that’s part of the process. I don’t stress about it; I just pick up where I left off and keep going. As we near the end of this year, I’m already on the lookout for a new journal to replace the one I’ve been using. I am going to buy the same one again this year. The Power of Gratitude
Incorporating gratitude into your life shifts your energy in such a positive way—it creates a frequency that attracts more things to be grateful for. There’s always something to be thankful for, no matter how big or small. If you’re new to practicing gratitude, start simple.
Even something as basic as “I’m grateful I woke up this morning” or “I’m grateful to be alive” can be the perfect starting point.
As you continue to embrace gratitude, you’ll begin to notice more things to appreciate. You’ll start to see life through a different lens—one that focuses on abundance rather than lack.
For me, a recent shift has been around money. I grew up with the belief that money wasn’t important—that it’s not about the money, but about the people and experiences in your life. What I’ve learned, though, is that none of these experiences are possible without money. Being grateful for the money you have—and the opportunities it brings—actually opens the door to attracting more financial abundance.Where we place our focus is where our energy flows. If we focus on what’s missing or what’s wrong, we unintentionally call more of that into our lives. But when we focus on gratitude, we shift our mindset toward abundance and welcome more things to be thankful for.
It’s a truly beautiful transformation.
A Simple Practice That Grows.
I started my gratitude journey by simply identifying three things I was grateful for each day.
Over time, this small practice has blossomed into a more profound daily ritual that continues to teach me more about the power of gratitude. It’s been such an growth journey, and I’ve seen firsthand how it impacts my mindset and my life.
I’m incredibly grateful for all of you who have supported me throughout the year—whether by attending a retreat or pottery workshop, engaging with my posts, reading my blog, or visiting my website.
Your support has meant the world to me, and it’s helped me grow in ways I couldn’t have imagined. You’ve given me even more to be thankful for.
Will You Make Time for Gratitude?
As we move into the new year, I encourage you to make room for gratitude in your own life. It doesn’t take much time—just a few moments each day to reflect on what you’re thankful for. You’ll be amazed at how this small act can create a ripple effect of transformation, leaving you feeling more content and happy with what you already have. Try it. I would love to hear how gratitude makes a difference for you.
